- I've come to love the high-pitched trills of these spirited birds as they fit across the sky from tree to tree. Cedar Waxwings are usually heard before they're seen. This piece holds a memory of lazy summer evenings, watching the cedar waxwings’ playful antics as they call to each other from the highest branches of the trees.
